What are our options in stage three - with Michael Stead

Update 31 May 2020: NSW Bishop Michael Stead says that there has been an update. Here's his quote:

"The 50 person limit for church gatherings in NSW is still subject to the 4m2 rule. However, NSW Heath have recently clarified that this applies to the total floorspace of room. This means that you can include the chancel / stage in the calculation, and not just the nave / area where the congregation sits.

"In the church, you should arrange seating (or designate places to sit in pews) to encourage physical distancing of 1.5m, noting that members of the same household are not required to physically distance. Reduce crowding wherever possible and promote physical distancing with markers on the floor in areas where people are asked to queue (eg. queuing for communion)."

Bishop Stead has written a new paper, substantially updating the information in his original presentation, which was discussed in this episode.

Original post 14 May 2020:

Today we get totally nitty gritty/extremely practical and we are talking church seating in stage three.. with the Bishop of South Sydney Michael Stead.

The road map - from Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison - indicates that there is going to be a moment that the government is calling 'stage three', probably/potentially mid July when meetings of up to 100 people will be able to take place.

Michael Stead is the Bishop of South Sydney and he’s been thinking through - the nitty gritty - how to navigate what - are the implications of the 100 limit - practically on church buildings.
