Justin Welby's horror day | End of Day Panel Wrap | Day 3 Gafcon23
Our panel discussion today focuses on the comments of three of the Gafcon Movement's Primates.
Our panelists Olivia Nassaka Banja (Uganda), Fiona McLean (Australia) and John Sandeman (Australia, http://theothercheek.com) give their analysis of a series of significant comments by Primates on day three of the conference.
Indian Pacific Primate, Archbishop James Wong, has called out the Archbishop of Canterbury on truthfulness, "So there is a dichotomy between what he told me to tell the people in Madagascar and what he did later at the General Synod in England.”
Archbishop Wong says the primates of Gafcon and Global South met yesterday, "And, we agreed now that we have to start thinking about love and unity within the steering council of Global South and the Primates Council of the Gafcon movement. So already we agreed that we ought to come together."
Global South Chair Justin Badi Arama says “We are dreaming that, and we are go moving towards that. And, it is all our prayer that we will see something new within the Anglican communion in the nearest feature. My hope and prayer is that the two may become one.” Gafcon Chair Foley Beach says, 'We love each other, we care for each other, so we are going to find a way to work together."
